Busy Bees Cafe & Catering was built around good food, good people, and taking care of the community around us.
We're a family-run catering company in Capitola with a local breakfast cafe serving locals, Bay Area visitors, and gatherings throughout Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast.
From office lunches and celebrations to backyard parties, brunches, weddings, and large group events, our goal has always been simple: serve good food and make people feel taken care of.
What We Believe
We believe good food starts with good ingredients. Whenever possible, we work with local farms and seasonal ingredients, including eggs from Glaum Ranch right here in Santa Cruz County.
Many of our pastries, sauces, dressings, cinnamon rolls, and breakfast favorites are made fresh in house.
We still answer the phone. We still help people figure things out. When you call Busy Bees, you're talking to real people who care about getting it right.
RECOGNITION
Busy Bees has been voted Best Caterer in Santa Cruz County by Good Times in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
We were also voted Best Caterer in the 2025 Santa Cruz Sentinel Readers' Choice awards.
In 2025, Lookout Santa Cruz recognized Busy Bees for Favorite Catering for a Work Lunch and Favorite Catering for a Dinner Party.
We're also proud to be an approved caterer for UC Santa Cruz.

We cater weddings, corporate lunches, office breakfasts, celebrations of life, school events, family parties, community gatherings, and events of all sizes throughout Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast.
Whether it's breakfast for fifteen people, a company lunch, or a full wedding celebration, our catering is built around fresh ingredients, generous portions, warm service, and food people actually want to eat.
From brunch spreads and family-style meals to BBQ and Cali Mex menus, we focus on making group catering feel easy, relaxed, and memorable.
We make fresh food for every event and keep everything fresh, warm, and ready throughout service so guests can relax, eat well, and enjoy themselves.
We offer pickup, delivery, staffed buffet setup, and catering support for events of all sizes, and our team is always happy to help build a menu around your event.
